Dr. Gerald D. Bell is a professor at UNC-Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler BusinessSchool and is a consultant to leading business organizations. Dr. Bell is the author of The Achievers and co-author with Coach Dean Smith of the New York Times best seller, The Carolina Way, with John Kilgo. He is currently working on “Great Leaders, Great Results,”a book showing what works and what doesn’t in building your company into a great organization.
In addition to teaching, consulting and writing, Dr. Bell enjoys time with his family at their home in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He is a golfer, fly fisherman, avid runner, and Western art collector.

Warren S. Rustand
The common thread that permeates Warren's experience is one of vision, strategy, and executive leadership. He has created, led, and grown many successful private, public, and not for profit entities. He has a passion for family, capital markets, public policy, and community.
Warren is the Managing Director of SC Capital Partners an investment banking group which includes: corporate advisory services, a private equity fund, capital sourcing, and a focus on the microcap market with a special expertise in RTOs or reverse mergers. He was previously the CEO of Summit Capital a firm which specializes in the development of small to midsize companies by sourcing and structuring capital resources for the organization. Warren was Chairman and CEO of Rural Metro Corporation, a $500 million, publicly traded emergency services company. He also served as Chairman and CEO of Cambridge Co. Ltd., a private merchant banking and management consulting firm. He has served as Chairman/CEO of 17 companies.
He has served as a member of the Board of Directors for over 50 public, private, and not-for-profit organizations. He currently serves on 8 Boards, three of which are public, and he chairs each of the Boards. The range of these organizations is from multibillion dollar public companies, to midsize, early stage, and startup. As CEO he has taken two companies public, one of which is the largest in its industry and the other is the second largest in its industry.
In 1973 Warren was selected as a White House Fellow through a nationally competitive process. Initially he served as Special Assistant to the Secretary of Commerce and led the first ever Executive Level Trade Mission to the Soviet Union. He joined the staff of Vice President Ford on the day he was sworn-in and served as Director of Scheduling. In August of 1974 when the Vice President became President, Warren was asked to serve as Appointments Secretary and Cabinet Secretary to the President.
In furthering his interest in community service and public policy, Warren created a seminar in Washington DC. titled, "Public Policy and the Private Sector." Now celebrating its 22nd year, it invites CEOs to meet with the highest level people in government, media, and lobbying which enable them to better understand current issues, public policy, and how the private sector can better engage in this process. To date over 2500 individuals have participated in the Seminar. Warren has served as the International Chairman, of the World Presidents Organization which has over 5000 CEOs in 120 countries. He currently serves as International Chairman of L3, a global leadership group, which is focused on one’s contribution during the second half of life.
Warren's specific interest in education has led him to be: Chairman of the Governor's Task Force on Higher Education for the State of Arizona, Chairman of the Tucson Unified School Systems Desegregation Committee, Chairman of Educational Excellence, an Adjunct Professor of Political Science at the University of Arizona, Founder/Chairman of the National Board of Advisors at the University of Arizona, and a featured speaker at colleges and universities, internationally.
His continued interest in the medical field has led him to be; Chairman of Tucson Medical Center, Health Partners of Arizona, TLC Vision, Medical Body Sculpting, Health Equity, Providence Service Corporation, and La Frontera.
Warren received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Arizona. He has been the recipient of many honors and awards including: The Visionary Leadership Award, the Distinguished Citizen Award, the 25 Year Achievement Award, election to the Sports Hall of Fame, and a White House Fellowship.
